6-year-old Amelia: [After rubbing my scalp] It feels like wood.

3-year-old Hailey: [Rubbing my head a few days post shave] It feels like a cat.

And my all-time favorite….

6-year-old Tanner: [Looks at my pale scalp] Mr. Zach, is that your brain?

Me: Yeah, you want to touch it.

6-year-old Tanner: [Aghast] Oh, no.  I can’t touch your brain.
